As an Associate Producer at WNDU-TV, the NBC affiliate in South Bend, Indiana, John manages content on the WNDU.com website, updates social media pages, shoots high school sports and breaking news, and runs the teleprompter during newscasts.

John interned at WNIT-TV, the PBS affiliate in South Bend, Indiana, from June 2012 to January 2013.
While there, he primarily floor directed for the daily Experience Michiana show with host Gordy Young.
Videos John shot and edited for the weekly LEGO fan show Beyond the Brick have appeared on CNET, Gizmodo, Mashable, Yahoo Games, Huffington Post, the official Wizard of Oz Facebook page and dozens of other blogs.
The videos have more than 5 million views and have resulted in 20,000 channel subscribers.

The Google at a Glance weekly podcast, hosted by John for more than two years, was twice voted one of the top-10 technology podcasts in the world (2011 and 2012, PodcastAwards.com).
